'It's as if everything is falling into place in the Master's programme. Personally, I thought the Bachelor's in Information Studies was more of an orientation phase. Even though you've already chosen an area of specialisation, there are still a lot of subjects. In some cases, it's hard to tell in what sense those subjects add any value to the overall study programme. That's something I learnt during the Master's year.'
'I enjoyed the management subjects best during the Master's. I did Economics before, but I found ICT more appealing. The subject Managing Non-material Values really offers added value, and sheds new light on the field of Information Studies. I also learnt a great deal from ICT & Services. The subject helped me gain a clearer picture of how I'll be able to apply this study programme in the professional field. Thanks to what I've learnt in these subjects, I've decided I'll probably be looking for a job at Cap Gemini or PriceWaterhouseCoopers once I get my Master's degree.'
'I felt the workload was just about right. The Master's programme is more demanding than the Bachelor's, but it's all quite doable. I've passed all my subjects so far. I'm a very active person by nature, and in addition to the Master's, I also work in a cafe about 32 hours a week. It's a good line of work, because it means I can work weekends and nights. If I had to work during the day on normal workdays, I don't think I'd be able to study properly. I'm used to the long days, but I suppose it's not for everyone.'
